The Myth of the 50/50 Marriage

A marriage is never perfectly 50/50 on any given day. Expecting a perfect mathematical split of chores, emotional labor, and financial input is unrealistic.

Some days, you will only have 20% to give because you are sick or burnt out. On those days, a healthy spouse steps up and provides the 80%. Weeks later, the roles might reverse.

Marriage is a fluid partnership. So long as both partners are committed to giving 100% of whatever capacity they have on that particular day, the marriage will thrive.
