Cookies Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data fragments physically stored on your local browser by a website you visit. They act as secure localized memory, allowing our matchmaking platform to recognize your device across multiple pages, keep your profile authenticated securely, and remember your thematic preferences (such as Dark/Light UI Mode).
2. Strictly Necessary Security Cookies
We heavily rely on JSON Web Token (JWT) technology to authenticate your access to internal messaging and matchmaking directories. When you log in, we inject an encrypted auth_token cookie. This cookie is:
- HttpOnly: Invisible to client-side JavaScript, guarding your account against Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks.
- SameSite: Strictly scoped to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF).
- Symmetric Encryption: Handled securely by our core backend API.
3. Analytics and Performance Cookies
In order to accurately generate our internal gamified Popularity Scores, "Who Viewed My Profile" insights, and AI behavioral matchmaking, we deploy first-party analytics cookies. These cookies track navigational clicks, time spent viewing candidate profile pages, and active sorting filters to continuously train our suggestion models.
4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Because our primary JWT cookie is classified as strictly necessary for the functioning of your login session, you cannot opt-out of it while actively using Decent Marriage Bureau. You may, however, purge these cookies by clicking 'Logout' or by instructing your mobile/desktop browser to surgically clear site data.
